Sheila Jones is a fucking HUMAN BEING. The police are supposed to protect PEOPLE. Not decide if, oh, I don’t like the color of your skin or the business in between your legs, your right to not be stabbed is suspended.

Oh ho. And the comments on the orginal news article. Thankfully, the bulk of them are outraged, without even the hint of whiteliness privilege that comes from these stories (“oh, this is awful, but I just don’t think it’s about race.”) However, some make me VOMIT!

Ok, the woman resorts to using profanity. I have no doubt she was not screaming in the 911 operators ear. If I recieved a call like this, I would not care what happened to the caller either. Nobody gets paid enough to put up with that level of abuse, nobody.

The suspect (a negro) left just before the original call AND DID NOT COME BACK. This female (also a negro) keeps calling and calling and calling because the police aren’t there immediately to fill out PAPERWORK.
Yes, the male negro kept calling and threatening her, but if she was so terrified she could have got in her car and drove to the mall, or walmart or anywhere instead of sitting around waiting to become a victim.

I think the problem resolved itself in the 1st call when the ex-boyfriend left the premises, why did she keep bugging 911 when he was already gone. Plus, if he intended to kill her, he would have like OJ Simpson did.
Hell why is this even a story, he waited until she hung up to say the offensive comment!
…Right. Because all Black men are OJ Simpson. Oh, and it’s ok that he said because he hung up before he did. It didn’t actually reflect any other actions.
I fail to see what the problem is. The woman is ok, so she obviously was not in that much danger. As a matter of fact, she should be charged with holding up legitimate 911 emergencys and prosecuted. 911 operators probably don’t make much money and look at all the crap they have to take from people like Sheila.
Is this a comment from the judge who was on the Melissa Ross case? CHRIST ON A CRACKER.

And how many times have the police responded only to have her not prosecute him? Don’t you just love how victim blaming tries to find fault with everyone but the main actors in the crime? Somehow her tone and word choice makes Jones unworthy of help. I could go my whole life without ever seeing such ugly shit.

I wonder how their reactions would have differed had she been a suburban soccer mom? What these commentators fail to recognize in their racist tirade is that are supporting violence against women. We had two incidents similar to this in Western Canada, when the police failed to respond three women ended up DEAD!

All too often when you come across an article that outrages you, reading the comments only do more harm. Also, in my cases, people find it just easier to blame the victim, which I find fucking disgusting.
